The room lights up under the sunny skylight and the windows on the back wall open the space up to the rest of the church. The Family Room also features a beautiful modern fireplace, wall-mounted TV, and comfortable seating. The TV can be used for presentations/slideshows. It also occupies a prime location, near the brewing station and accessible bathrooms on the main level.

The Gathering Place is a large foyer area, most frequently used as a welcoming area for events in the Roseland Room or Sanctuary, or as a buffet/bar area for events hosted in the Family Room. Port Nelson’s Gathering Place is a great addition to any larger room booking. Its bright, modern décor provides an attractive area to mingle and visit, adjacent to a larger gathering.

Highlighted by a comfortable seating area, the Gathering Place acts as a more casual space within Port Nelson United Church. It also occupies a prime location, near the brewing station and accessible bathrooms on the main level.

This one-of-a-kind commercial-grade kitchen is one of the jewels of the newly built Port Nelson United Church. Boasting gas ovens and ranges, restaurant-grade refrigerators and freezers, and top-of-the-line dish stations, the new kitchen at Port Nelson can handle all event catering needs.

Consider this kitchen to be an onsite restaurant, capable of accommodating caterers from the largest wedding receptions to the smallest community breakfast. The church frequently uses the kitchen to present seniors’ lunches, church breakfasts and large dinners.

The name says it all! If you need a boardroom style setting for a small meeting, this is the venue you are looking for. Also useful as an added room for an event in a larger space, this room provides a private, formal environment for meeting, planning and small group discussions. There is a dry erase board in the room and audiovisual equipment is available for presentations.

The Meeting Room can be a perfect location to host meetings, planning sessions, small group discussions and other boardroom events.

A peaceful corner, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the church, the Wright Library is a quiet sanctuary for small groups. Comprised of a small, comfortable seating area, as well as table and chairs, it is an ideal spot for intimate conversations.

The Wright Library makes for a cozy setting for informal meetings and group discussions. The library is a great setting for small meetings, or as a break-out room for larger meetings, or private conversations. It has also been used as a space separate from one of the larger rooms, as a home base for volunteers or staff.
