GLEE-ding the Way is a four-part leadership series designed to support youth in building confidence, teamwork, communication, behaviour-support strategies, safety awareness, and real-world leadership skills. Whether youth want to apply to be GLEE Camp counsellors in the future or simply grow as leaders in school and community settings, this program offers meaningful tools, mentorship, and hands-on experiences.

Program Includes:

  • Leadership skill-building
  • Hands-on activities
  • Dinner each session
  • Optional outreach service day

Youth interested in becoming future GLEE counsellors are strongly encouraged to participate.

Session Dates (Sundays 5:30–8:00 p.m.):

January 11 – Finding Your Spark: Strengths, Gifts & Why Leadership Matters
Explore your unique leadership strengths through creativity and self-discovery with Nick Adams of Beanstalk Creative, a creative facilitator, artist, and educator.

February 8 – Positive Behaviour & Understanding Diverse Needs
Learn practical strategies for supporting behaviour, inclusion, and neurodiverse needs with educator Karen Redgrave and school principal Jay Poitras.

March 8 – Teamwork, Trust & Communication
Discover what makes teams thrive and how strong communication builds trust, guided by Brad Barnham, former GLEE Camp Director.

April 12 – Safety, Situational Awareness & Confident Leadership
Build confidence as a leader by learning safety awareness, responsibility, and decision-making with Christine Chesebrough and Bryan Hoover, bringing experience in education, safety, HR, and operations.
