UPDATE FROM THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE – JANUARY 2022
At the February 9, 2020 Annual Meeting of the Congregation, a new governing structure for the church was approved and implemented replacing the old Church Council format.
This Board consists of seven elected members; a Chair, Secretary and five Board members elected for a period of two years, which is renewable for a further two year period. In addition, the Treasurer, the Chair of the Ministry and Personnel Ministry and the Minister sit on the Board by virtue of their positions.
Now two years later, these elected positions are officially vacant and/or up for renewal. We are inviting you to prayerfully consider whether you might be called to serve on the Board of Port Nelson United Church for the next two years.
We are looking for people with these qualities to fill the seven elected Board positions.

· Aware, interested and have a wide perspective
· Hold a positive outlook
· Committed to the church and be willing to participate
· Problem Solver
· Unafraid and willing to take risks

An Expression of Interest form is now available. You can print this version of the form and submit it to the office, or complete the form below.
The deadline date for the Expression of Interest form is Sunday, January 30th, 2022 at 12 noon, after which the Nominating Committee will use your completed Expression of Interest form to select candidates for the seven elected Board positions, which will then be presented to the congregation at the Annual General Meeting on February 13, 2022. A vote will be held at that time.
